Parachute’s founder and type designer Panos Vassiliou, will be judging this year’s international Granshan Awards 2012. The event will take place on June 14-15, 2012 in Yerevan, Armenia. Other judges include Maxim Zhukov, Otmar Hoefer, Fiona Ross, Ahmed Mansour, Timothy Donaldson, Manvel Shmavonyan.
The Granshan competition focuses on the importance of script systems such as Armenian, Cyrillic, Greek, Arabic, Indic.
The winners will be announced at a press conference held by the
Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia in Yerevan in the month of June. Following the announcement, winning works and further selected entries will be exhibited in Yerevan and subsequently shown in
Munich during the month of November and in
Hong Kong during the month of October at
ATypI conference.
