In the spring of 2017, editors of award-winning print magazine Slanted covering international design and culture embarked on a trip to Athens to take a close-up look at the city’s contemporary design scene. Parachute was amongst the studios that allowed a glimpse into their world as powerful creative forces operating in the context of the Athenian contemporary design scene. Then, in the beginning of November, Slanted published their latest issue dedicated to Athens, an occasion that was aptly celebrated with an official launch party hosted in our newly founded headquarters, Typeroom, right at the heart of the city’s historic center, the downtown Psirri area. Bringing together creatives, cultural figures and design professionals in our vibrant creative hub allowed and enabled inspiring dialogue and exchange of ideas in an area bubbling with creativity where heritage and culture meet a contemporary and vivid way of life.
