Company
Parachute® is an acclaimed European type foundry and design studio based in Athens and London. Headed by Panos Vassiliou, it specialises in type design, lettering, branding and publication design. Ever since 2001, Parachute has designed proprietary typefaces for high profile corporations and organisations worldwide including Bank of America, European Commission, UEFA, Samsung, IKEA, Interbrand, National Geographic, Financial Times, National Bank of Greece, Eurobank. It set the trend among independent type foundries back in 2007, by publishing one of the most diverse retail collections of multiscript typefaces supporting major scripts such as Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, Arabic, Hebrew. The list includes several award-winning typefaces such as Regal, Marlet, Centro, Champion Script, Bague. In 2012, Parachute received the prestigious Grand Prix by Red Dot. Additional awards have been received by the Type Directors Club of New York, European Design Awards, Tokyo TDC, German Design Awards, HiiiBrand, Granshan Awards, Communication Arts, Creative Review.
