How to type Multilingual Text
Before you start typing multilingual text you must have all required languages installed (read the keyboards section).
1. Open your favorite application program (consult the Application Support section to verify compatibility with OpenType fonts).
2. Use OpenType fonts which support the specific languages (Parachute Pro fonts support all European languages).
3. If you do not know how to type in these other languages consult their keyboard layout.
4. You can toggle between keyboards through the language palette which appears on the desktop’s menu bar or through a key sequence.
If you use Parachute fonts, you may import or copy/paste a document which was written in Word (PC or Mac) using a different unicode font (or a default font such as Arial), into your favorite program, for instance InDesign or Illustrator. How do you incorporate this text into your design? 1. Place/Import the Word file into your favorite program such as InDesign or Illustrator. 2. Change fonts and Voila! You do not need to do anything else as long as you use OpenType fonts which support the specific languages (Parachute Pro fonts support all European languages). Please note that if you only need to use (copy/paste or change fonts) an existing multilingual text, you do not have to add or switch keyboards.
